Ahmed Musa has splashed N4m on Nigeria’s Olympic Eagles as pledged for thrashing Libya 4-0 in a 2019 U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match.
Ex-Golden Eaglets star Victor Osimhen netted a hat-trick and provided an assist to help the Dream Team VII cancel a two-goal deficit from the first leg in Tunis last week.

The Saudi-Arabia based Musa promised the team N1m for every goal scored, as a morale booster when he accompanied Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr to the team’s training on Saturday, March 23 and hours after thrashing Libya 4-0 win on Monday, Musa redeemed his pledge to the squad.
Interestingly, the encounter saw Rohr dispatch four of his players, Osimhen, Chidozie Awaziem, Francis Uzoho and Valentine Ozonwafor.
Nigeria are through to the next round of the AFCON U23 qualifier after beating Libya 4-0 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.
The Dream Team VII suffered 2-0 defeat in the reverse fixture five days ago, but this victory means the Olympic Eagles are through to the next stage of the qualifier on 4-2 aggregate.

Former U17 striker Victor Osimhen opened the scoring for the hosts through a rebound after Kelechi Nwakali's goal-bound free kick was denied by the wood works.
The Wolsfburg star on loan at Belgian side Royal Charleroi doubled his side's lead in the 67th minute after benefiting from the Libyan's confused defence line.
